‘A new major fashion exhibition at Brighton Museum & Art
Gallery celebrates all things Biba and Beyond! The Biba store, the clothes, the
lifestyle and the far reaching influence of this iconic brand. The exhibition
also looks at the life and times of the charismatic and talented woman behind
the label, Barbara Hulanicki. It also includes her successful earlier career in
fashion illustration and her later achievements in interior design and
architecture.’
We headed down into the centre of Brighton to feast our eyes
on this gorgeous exhibition, which has been running for a little over a month. A
story of Barbara Hulanicki journey, from how she transformed the high street shopping
experience in the 60’s and 70’s to her high profile interior design work on
major products in the US. It shows us an inspiring ride of hard work and
dedication throughout her career.
The exhibition
runs up until April 14th 2013
Entry is £6
(but £3 for Brighton and Hove residents with proof)For more information go here
